I'm Gregory, a native English speaker and professional writer from San Diego, California.

In addition to being globally experienced in teaching English and training English teachers, I am also a successful non-fiction author. I have written seven books on business and personal development. My latest book, Our Global Lingua Franca, is about my experiences teaching English around the world and what I consider to be major problems with the way we teach English as a foreign language.

I've developed my own English teaching methodology that revolves around immersing people in interesting, useful, unusual discussions on things they care about. I often focus on topics related to philosophy, psychology, personal development, life coaching, and more. What matters is that it challenges you to start thinking in English in ways you probably don't have the opportunity to, even if you're already using English in your daily life.

Business English

Conversational English
But I don't like to limit conversations to common topics and vocabulary. I want my students to be comfortable taking conversation in many areas at an advanced level.

English Writing and Editing
I am a professional author and writing coach. I can teach you how to write, edit, and proofread at the standards of the book publishing industry.

Accent and Pronunciation
I speak with a neutral American accent and help my students make their speaking as clear as possible to native English speakers. I am a professional speaker and voiceover narrator.

Children's English
Most of my students are adults, but I am happy to work with children of all ages, so long as they have at least a conversational level of English already and want to improve. I tailor my teaching to their age and experience.

True Fluency
I go beyond what most teachers who just help you learn new words and grammar offer. My goal is to get you to think and speak automatically in English, just like a native speaker.
