About me

I’m a senior researcher and evaluator with extensive experience designing, delivering and advising on research and evaluation projects across education, training and the public and third sectors.

Over the past two decades, I’ve worked with universities, colleges, professional bodies, charities and government-funded organisations, supporting everything from student experience research and stakeholder consultations to large-scale programme evaluations.

I can support clients with:

Research and evaluation design and strategy
Review and interpretation of survey or evaluation findings
Qualitative and quantitative data analysis
Reporting, synthesis and presentation of findings
Short advisory or diagnostic reviews to clarify next steps

My background includes senior research roles in a Russell Group university and a national educational research organisation, and I’ve been Director of Seymour Research since 2012. I hold a PhD in Education and an MSc in Research Methods.

I’m particularly well-suited to projects where clients need experienced, independent judgement, proportionate support, and outputs that are decision-focused and defensible.

I also offer short, fixed-price research and evaluation reviews for organisations who need clarity before committing to a larger project.
